The angle of the photo is deceptive. That wing balances the car by providing just a smidge of lift at the front to offset engine weight.
No? Okay then... there was front-end damage so they had to replace the bumper cover with a stock part, losing the splitter and letting too much air under the car. Downforce was needed to counter the lift, and someone had a giant wing handy.
I can feel your look. Fine... It’s an exterior sunshade.

My first thought before seeing the caption was “at least it’s not on the rear. I think placement could have been better though with a mounting dow low in front of the car just barely above hood height...... wait, why am i trying to apply logic?

It’s hard to tell but it looks like before you’d ever get the hood close to open enough to do meaningful work the wing would hit the windshield.
